Study groups: history

Group leader: Rona Taylor (01667 455632)

The History Group meets once a month on Wednesday afternoons at the Nairn Community Centre. Please arrive at 1:45 for a 2pm start. Because the group is too large to meet at a member's home, there will be a charge of £2 per meeting to cover the cost of hiring a room.

The group discusses a wide variety of historical topics. There might be a single speaker, or a DVD, or member participation - recalling their own experience of historic events, for instance. No prior knowledge of the subject is necessary. Meetings for the 2011/2012 season are as follows:

Wed 5th Oct 2011

Wed 2nd Nov 2011

Wed 30th Nov 2011

Wed 18th Jan 2012

Wed 15th Feb 2012

Wed 14th Mar 2012

Wed 11th April 2012

Wed 9th May 2012

If you would like to join this group, you are welcome to come along to any meeting. For more information, please contact one of the committee members or the group leader at one of the open meetings, or contact the group leader direct.
